I am a Labour & Coop Party councillor on Broxtowe Borough Council, in Nottingham.   I first became a Labour Councillor back in 1991 and hugely enjoy my work.  I was last re-elected to my ward in Kimberley in May 2015

I first stood as a Labour Parliamentary Candidate in 2005 and am looking forward to fulfilling my dream of becoming a Labour Member of Parliament.  I am passionate about politics, people, communities, social justice and the Labour Party.

From 15 October 2012 I work as Senior Parliamentary Assistant to Gavin Shuker MP for Luton South.

I am Vice Chair of Nottinghamshire Fabian Society

From November 2011 to 9 October 2012 I worked as an Organiser for UNISON.

My previous jobs include working as Regional Organiser for the Yes to Fairer Votes Campaign, Regional Organiser for Ed Miliband’s Labour Leaderhip Campaign, and as Constituency Office Manager for several Labour MPs, apart from a lengthy spell in the Civil Service.
