Many apologies for a further e mail, but I have been asked specifically to bring two additional items to your attention.
One is directly from Broxtowe BC about a new on line Building Control application form (this will be of interest to any of you having/thinking of have any extension, or alterations to your property). See the item One of the First in the Country immediately below.
The second is a request from a Kimberley resident Sarah Pykett to let you know (this will especially interest animal lovers) about a Summer Fare at the Midland German Shepherd Rescue Centre, taking place this coming Saturday. You’ll find more details about this item below too.

One of the First in the Country
Broxtowe Borough Council has become one of the first authorities in the country to create and implement an online Building Control application form. The simplified electronic form replaces the somewhat complicated paper based version. Customers can use the form to either calculate an estimated quote based on the information supplied or submit a full application.
The form includes the following features:
- Easy to use drop down menus that dynamically alters later questions depending on what the customer has chosen.
- Links to the Capita online payment system giving the customer the ability to make a Building Control application payment online.
- The facility to upload plans and other related documents.
On form completion, the form and supporting documentation is sent directly to the building control section and printable copy being sent to the customer. Summer Fare at the Midland German Shepherd Rescue Centre
There is a Summer Fare at the Midland German Shepherd Rescue Centre, North Lodge Kennels, Kings Corner, Derby DE21 4RG.
It is on, on Saturday 15th August from 10.30am until 4.00pm.
